John Larkin, Dublin
« on: Friday 18 July 14 20:36 BST (UK) »
G.Grandfather John Larkin b: abt 1868, Dublin city,  married Margaret Duffe in 1886, died between 1903 - 1910.  His address at time of marriage was at Summerhill, Dublin.  His father was also John according to marriage cert. I cannot find records of death or birth.  He may have joined the army around 1901.   John and Margaret lived at  Centenery Cottages / Williams Place off Dorset St Lower in 1901.  Any information about John Larkins parents or siblings would be appreciated.

Hi David
i dont know where you are located but have you actually gone in to see the microfilm for St Agathas, just because Irish Genealogy puts N/A does not mean that the mothers names are not on the register its most likely down to poor handwriting or faded paper.
I'm sure Tara would back me up on that as she has found some unbelievable mistranscriptions on Irish Genealogy which go to show the information is recorded but not yet transcribed.

Hi David
have you tried Glasnevin for John's burial, when searching the index there are a few John Larkin's buried there between 1901 and 1911 but they are listed mostly in their fities, however this does not mean he is not among them depending on who was the informant at burial they may not have known his proper age.
Down the bottom of the following link you will see both phone and email address for the museum they are very helpful with genealogical inquiries and would let you know if any of the John's listed is yours, you would then have to purchase a standard (3 euro)or extended (8 euro) readout of the grave.
The extended readout gives all burials for the one plot.
