Help finding McGough family please
« on: Friday 22 August 14 13:19 BST (UK) »
Hello all

I have a family on the 1851 census in Chester which dissappears and I cannot find them anywhere.

Theres Owen McGough born 1850 in Chester, John McGough born in Ireland around 1821 and his wife Mary McGough nee Moran born Ireland around 1826.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
Danny

Thank you very much Heather :)

I assume the first born Owen died young and they then had another son down the line and named him Owen as well.

I must be losing it as I've been doing this for ages and didn't even think to remove the Mc from the name.

Once again, thank you very much.

I don't know what happened to Honor Gough born in 1852. She is on the 1861 with the family but not in 1871. Perhaps she was married by then.
