Where did Nathaniel go?
« on: Sunday 12 October 14 14:16 BST (UK) »
Trying to find where Nathaniel Plumb was in 1851..I can't find him on the census.
I know in 1842 age 42 he and his son George Plumb age 15 was charged with having counterfeit money. Nathaniel was found guilty and sentenced to 10 years transportation and George was acquitted. I don't think he was transported because he shows up on the 1861 census.

Nathan(Nathaniel) was born Lambly notts abt 1800.

Could he have been in prison?
Any help would be great ;D

That sounds like him..I did an 1851 census search and couldn't find him ::)
I know he went to the Prison Hulk Ship Fortitude 9 Aug 1842  that was moored in Chatham he was there until 27 April 1843.
