Elizabeth Sherrard {born Torrens}

I'm having difficulty tieing down a birth date for Elizabeth Torrens who died in Londonderry on April 9th 1929. She married Robert Sherrard at 2nd Glendermott Preb on September 17th 1885 where the marriage record states she was 17 yrs and her father was William Torrens. However I can find no Elizabeth Torrens born in Ireland in 1867/8/9 to a William. I can find an Elizabeth who fits the date but her father is listed as Kennedy Torrens. The closest I have come to a match is one Mary Eliza Torrens baptised on April 6th 1868 with birth circa Sept 1st 1867. I've made an assumption that Eliza may have become Elizabeth over time? Just wondering if anyone out there who has researched the Torrens/Sherrard families has any additional info that may shed light on this.
