David McLelland Dalry/Jeannie Turnbull Kilmarnock
« on: Sunday 15 September 13 22:08 BST (UK) »
David McLelland and Jane Turnbull married in Glasgow in 1892.

David's father David was shown as David McClellend.

Jane/Jean/Jeannie Turnbull's father was Thomas and he was born in Ireland according to the 1901 census.

They had 3 children: Florence born about 1894-95, David 10 Aug 1896, & my grandmother Janet/Jean 8 Jul, 1898.  All three children went to Canada.

The parents split up about 1899 with Jane taking Janet and living as a Hawker on the streets for 10 years before giving Janet to Barnardo's Childrens Home.  I don't know the circumstances of how or why the other 2 went to Canada or where they grew up but I know they went to Vancouver, BC in 1910.

I would love to learns what happened to David and Jeannie and also about their families.

Thank you

Flora is my great grandmother.  She had one daughter also named flora, who had five children, on of them my father, Lloyd, who had three children, one being me.  She lived most of her adult life in Victoria.
