Just a idea but could Windyridge House be the name of one of the large houses near Windyknowe area of Galashiels (West end) towards Wood Street (A72), not necessarily the poor/workhouse which was in the Abbotsford road area (A7)(east end).

Hi
I don't know where the building is all I know is my grandfather died at Windyknowe in 1927. It could be a hospital, poorhouse or similar.
