Dear RootsChat team

Please can anyone help regarding the parents of or a baptism for David Davies b c 1805 in Betws Bledrws Cardiganshire ?

I came across a reference to a WILL dated 1821 for a Thomas Davies of Betws Bledrws and so wondered of course if there may be a connection?

Look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed.
Many thanks
Jed

Hi there

Not a very helpful reply but on familysearch (from Bishops Transcripts Betws Bledrws) and with the same detail on www.freereg.org there is this baptism

David Davies bap 2 May 1802 Betws Bledrws father's surname Davies! At least you might have a baptism date.

I did a quick search of the years 1805 +/- 10 year on freereg for Davies surname in Betws Bledrws and these may be siblings or there might be more than one family baptising children there (there were various parents names on baptisms from 1819 e.g Samuel & Jane, David & Jane, Thomas Davies & Mary Jenkins, David Davies & Hannah Walters, John & Ann etc,)

Frederick 4 Nov 1806 father Davies
Jane 19 Apr 1807 father Davies
Jane 27 Jan 1811 father Davies
Mary 27 Oct 1811 father JOSHUA Davies

So maybe freereg might help you to rule some Davies families out! Good luck
