I went to automated genealogy for 1901 and went to Shelburne and Queen's County. If you click on the districts and look at the bottom of the page, you can check for names by birth year rather than surname.  I checked  Milton and Liverpool for 1886-1891 looking for any with forename of Sarah and didn't come up with anyone in that age group with approx age and first name. It is like looking through a needle in a haystack but if you have lots of time and know the possible areas that Amanda and Sarah could have been living, you may find them under another surname. I looked for Sarah rather than Amanda as her age shouldn't be out by too many years.

I will keep looking. I live in Nova Scotia and every once in awhile I come across unique sites to look for info.

Spent several hours this morning searching but couldn't find Sarah either. Did find a few other useful bits but she and mother Amanda must be there somewhere - will try widening the search away from Liverpool... :-\ Many thanks
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
