That's the lot for today I'm afraid.
The hunt goes on.

I'll indulge myself now by posting a couple or few of random photos I took today in the cemetery.

Hello
I'm trying to locate the unmarked grave of Margaret "Madge" Metcalfe Jefferson, who died in 1908. She was the mother of comedian Arthur Stanley Jefferson, better known as Stan Laurel. I'd appreciate any help I can get. I can
be e - mailed at (*)
Thank you
Bob

Hi Burbank58.

At the moment I wouldn't know where to start.  Interesting though.  I know that Stan went to school a few hundred metres from where I live.  The school was closed for years and demolished a couple of years ago.  It was on the site of the new Victoria Hospital.

If the grave is unmarked, do you have any other information on where it is located.  Also, if the grave is unmarked, what do you hope to gain?

Can I just add, I suggest you modify your post and remove your email address.      It is always possible for us to contact you by replying to your posts or by Personal Message.

Just found this link.

Perhaps you could contact the person that posted the photo.  If we can locate it, I'd be happy to take more photos.

Dave,

If you ever come across Annie Gunn died 1947, I know she was definitely in Cathcart cemetery, wife of William Donald Gunn, police constable died 1913, not sure if he is there but am surmising that may be the case as Annie didn't live anywhere near Cathcart when she died..

dinna fash yerself, IF, you ever come across it it would be great.

Liked your photograhs of the cemetery.

Wini,
If you can locate the plot number I'll gladly take a wander along and take photos.
Cathcart is a massive cemetery and the chances of me 'coming across' her grave are remote.

Thank you for your help. I'm a big Laurel and Hardy. Both of Laurel's parents were entertainers and I was just curious about his mother's grave.
I would remove my e-mail address, but I don't know how.
Take care
Bob
