Maiden name of Sarah KENT born 1835/6 Cookham

An online tree has Charles William Kent's parents as William Kent and Sarah Harding. They have their marriage as 1856 Cookham, Berkshire.


Freebmd has this. As you can see there are two Sarahs, so it depends how accurate the tree is. The only way to be really sure would be to get the certificate of one of their children.

If you are going to send for one of the certificates, I would go for the birth certificate for Charles William Kent, this will give you both the parents, and you will then know who she married

Two other online trees have the mother recorded as Sarah Austin/Harding, so they obviously aren't sure either.

There is William Kent b 1835 Cookham occ Paper Maker a Lodger living in Somerset

In 1861 Albert Roadnight is in Cookham with wife Sarah and lodger William Harding (and they have a John Harding with them in 1871), so the 1856 marriages may have been (1) Albert Roadnight to Sarah Harding and (2) William Kent to Sarah Austin.

I think the 1861 is Su Kent age 8mths which would fit with this;
