Jean was born in 1887 - unsure when she came out to Australia, but married in Australia in 1921.  I have no idea if her parents came out to Australia.

Scotlandspeople website has a marriage for a Robert Farrell and Margaret MCKINNEY 1884 Dunbarton
Dumbarton.
Also a birth for an Agnes Jane Farrell 1887 Dunbarton Dumbarton(this should have parents names and date of marriage).

There will be a bit of a struggle with the surnames of both Farrell, and Kenny.

Looks like Robert Farrell, was born 2/Jan/1862. Dunbarton, to parents Robert Farrel, and Jane Douglas, both born in Ireland. but married in Scotland.


The rest of Robert Farrell, and Jane Douglas, kids were born under the surname Ferl. all in Dunbarton, there were at least 8 kids.

Hi Jessies mum are you sure Robert and Margaret are the parent's of Agnes Jane Farrell as she is not in the 1891 census or the 1901 which is strange

The information is straight off Agnes Jean's marriage certificate rosie - so I agree that it is strange that she is not on any census.  Her marriage was November 1921, so am not certain how long she had been in Australia prior to that.
