I think it may be Hicksen , but there are very few around  ???
The e in the name and in master looks to be written in the same way.

Hi...Yes I did wonder and have tried both combinations without success..the se in the word second is formed the same way as the se in Hicksen.....shame there is no Christian name  :-\
Thanks for trying...maybe some researcher may google the surnames may be brought here.

I think I`ve traced William Thomas Phillips.

In 1911 W T Phillips and his wife Agnes Annie are living at the National Schoolhouse , Leeswood, Mold. 
 He is the  schoolmaster employed by the  County Council

No info found on William Thomas, there is a possible one with a widowed mother named Martha, in Newtown, but can`t be sure.
I suppose the marriage will gave fathers name.

Agnes Annie Phillips of Eaton House, Leeswood widow died 20 April 1941.
Probate to William Ernest Phillips retired schoolmaster.


I`m sure I`ve come across this family before  ???

His Flintshire Roll of Honour card in the Archives Office in Hawarden gives his regimental details and his address as Eaton Cottages in Leeswood. It says he served 1 year and 7 months and that he was wounded in action in France and died of the wounds he received. The card was signed by Gladys A Phillips on 16th Sept 1919.
