Hey Krystle, this is very good news. Any chance I could have some of the names from your family bible as well ? I'd like to complete various branches if possible, and it would be nice to know where Luke Holderness came from.

Best wishes,
Do feel free to get in touch.

Hello, I'm not on ancestry, and the best I can offer at the moment is the blogsite, which does have all the names I've got so far.
I will put an actual tree together, when I can get my head round how to do it.

I shall have a further look at rootsweb - I think rootschat is superb - it really is the only one to have supplied any answers to anything, and the people on here are extremely pleasant and helpful. Which, let's face it, is a bonus!

I am so pleased you got in touch - I suppose we are cousins of a kind, through the Gray side of things (Thomas and Mary). About two years ago I had absolutely no idea that I had any relatives - least of all in the north of England.

All good wishes,

Francis

cool ancestry is ok, but can get  on your nerves at times,it might be worth taking a look at the site, to see if it'll help you put the tree into some sort of sense.
looking at the gray i've found with you seems cofusing.I also have a cd disk 'who do you think you are' to which you can add people onto.
is there any other gray/holdernesses on here, apart from who i have seen commenting on threads, i can either pm u the info or put on this thread for the others to see.

Great to hear from you again

Hello,

I'll pm you my email address if you don't mind.
Of course I quite understand if you'd rather keep it to the rootschat site, but I'll be guided by you on that one.

Cheers again -
Francis.

I shall add any information that's relevant to my blogsite. I haven't explored the Holdernesses more than the bits I've told you about - just because I have been concentrating on more immediate family, going back through Ellen Gray, to Thomas and Mary.

I got sidetracked (!) onto the Holdernesses because I liked the name, and when I add someone, I like to fill in as much detail as I can. However, as we all know, there are only so many hours in a day, and this can all become very very time-consuming. I have to try and do some ordinary work as well!
