I have an interest in the Lane Family in St Helier, Jersey.

I am interested in finding a marriage of a John Lane (born Dorset, England) to a Jane - possibly Jane Mansbridge. Also looking for Jane's death - possibly 1861. We know Jane was born 1831.

Also looking to see if they had any children.

I have found a marriage reference for John Lane in Jersey -
St Clement's, Jersey:  John Lane: period Oct 1842 - June 1872,  page 103.

With this reference you can get a copy of the marriage certificate from:
The Superintendent Registrar
10 Royal Square
St Helier, Jersey  JE2 4WA

The fee is £10 per certificate plus postage/handling (UK 50p; Europe £1 and elsewhere £2) - by a UK cheque or British postal order.  (No credit card orders, unfortunately).  If you need to call them you can ring +44 1534 502335.

I think the reference above may, however, be for his marriage to Elizabeth - from St Clements (see below).  I didn't find any other reference for Jane - are you sure they weren't married in England?

I would like to know when the Poole family joined the Lane family, who married who? Did Poole have a veterinary forge near the jersey library. Thanks Jill Pitter
