Dear RootsChatters,
Hi. Looking to fill in some gaps with details from Census records etc. for this family:-
Grimmer FINCHAM born 1853 Cambridge, parents' names unknown at this stage but as he had a rather uncommon first name, he should be easy to find ...hopefully. ;) Grimmer FINCHAM married Rebecca unknown C1882. They had one known child, a son Charles FINCHAM born 1883 Chettisham.
Charles FINCHAM married C1909 to Edith WHITTINGTON born 1888 Ely.
Any details gratefully received. Thank you, Allycat in Australia.

Dear Darcy, My goodness. You're quick. ;D I saw your first message, then my youngest baby started hollering for me. When I came back you had done two more ... oops three ... lookups. Wow. Thank you for that.
I think you'r right, there must be a connection with the 1841 Census data. I shall squirrel that data away in my pile for re-examination when I have more info. Cheerio, Allycat, downunder.

These Finchams are on my tree and you are right, William and Grim(m)er the elder are both sons of John Fincham and Elizabeth Armager - they were both born in Mildenhall.
