I am researching my Grandmother's family. Have gone back to Simon Blore b 1771 Derbyshire, m Jane Harrison b 1782 Saperton, in 1807.
They appear to of had 4 children, Thomas, Sophia,William (my GGrandfather) and Maria Jane. They seem to have been christened at Broughton Church.
Does anybody know of any information on this family, or have access to parish records? if so I would greatly appreciate a look up, or any advice/help.
Thanking you in advance.

I have just received some info on your Blore family.
Simon Blore, according to my contact was born in Calton Staffs abt 1774 he was a farmer and methodist Preacher. He married Jane Harrison (b. abt 1782 Church Broughton, Derbyshire) in church Broughton 30 March 1807.
Simons parents are named as Thomas Blore and Elizabeth James both born in Ilam. I have yet to check any of this info but from what i have checked it is all in order. My contact has spent 40 years researching this family but is very elderly now and getting further info is proving a bit tedious. He has collected wills and chr dates for all mentioned on his tree but hasn't put them on his tree in a lot of cases...my contact is a bit new to technology. Anyway have further info if you are interested. (He has the line going back to the early 1600's)
I have sent you a pm with my email address if you want to swap info.
All the best and I look forward to hearing from you.
Angela.

have you found any connection between your Blore family and any Bloor family members in Derbyshire?
My Gt Gt Grandfather William Bloor c1821 of Barrow on Trent married a Mary (Surname unknown) of Hartshorne.
The familes settled in Hartshorne and there are quite a few Bloors listed in parish records and census returns.

Hi BoaMan",
Sorry no William Bloor b 1821, but my Grandmother was a Blore, Alice Maud Mary Blore, she was born in Redditch but the family came from Derbyshire and as you have very likely found out there are alot of Blore/Blower/Bloore/Bloor from that area that there could be a connection way back.

Hi,
I know I am 12 years late to this party but would be really interested to know your findings about the Blores.
Sophia Blore is my 3x great grandmother and would love to know more about her family, especially her father William Harrison Blore (son of Simon Blore).
Thanks in advance.
