I am trying to identify the parents of John Bull, born Little Staughton ~1814 [age 37 1851 census] either via a baptism record or marriage {wife is Usler age 35 in 1851}.
John may be a brother to someone on my tree and his son William [ age 2 in 1851] was hung for murder in Bedford Gaol in 1871.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

If you check the IGI on www.familysearch.org you'll find his marriage in 1843 where his father is named as William

Thanks for that.
The curse of not knowing their own age! Family search puts his birth at 1822 not 1814 and his wife as Ursula and not Usler (& the curse of the enumerators spelling).
The sum of all this is that the link may be back a generation further!
I have a Bentin Bull (b1760) M Hannah. I know I have a son William B~1784 {need to prove he was father to John who was father to william (hung)}. My link is via another son of Bentin, Samuel B~1789/1792 .
Any help greatly appreciated.

From my Little Staughton PR Disc
Bainton Bull married Hannah Tomson 22 July 1781 and had the following children baptized
William Bull 10 October 1784
Hannah Bull 10 December 1786
Samuel Bull 7 September 1788
There is also a burial in All Saints Little Staughton for Samuel Bull 4 May 1783 infant parents Bainton & Hannah Bull (no baptism record for him)
There is also this baptism record
John Reynolds Bull 28 October 1832 parents William & Elizabeth... John aged 19yrs on 23rd May
(so he would have been born about 1813)
