i use family ulster.com if i have to buy info. i have found they are the cheapest. if you want the info. only its £3-50. if you want the cert. it cost a lot more. (i just pay for the info. its cheaper) i hope this is of some help to you.
kind regards mary.

Agree with Mary about Family Ulster. You could get a copy of the Marriage Certificate from the Registrars Office in Londonderry (from memory about £10/£12), but a transcription from Family Ulster will only cost £3.50.
Here is a link to the relevant page for making a request. (http://www.familyulster.com/family_ulster_records_BMD_requests.htm).

Just wanted to say thanks again phoned them up and have ordered the cert up cant wait now lol,
Apparently my other Irish connections could be a little more difficult, as he said Catholic Marriages, were not on cival registers until 1864, Oh well cant win them all but really greatful for your help hopfully i will be able to learn a bit more when the cert arrives

Hi , Thanks to your Help I now have my very first Irish cert,
My 3x Great Grandparents were in the registation Didst of Limavady, Hugh was in Terrydrum and it looks like Bally(dery) (olery) hard to make it out but looking at a map there are a few places it could be,
Could anyone tell me anything about these area's, and where i could obtain pictures of them I have not been able to come up with Terrydrum online except for greyhound racing
thanks Sybil

This map of Terrydrum (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=-772500&Y=7332500&width=700&height=400&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=mercator&db=freegaz&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=&zm=0&scale=50000&multimap.x=237&multimap.y=294) will let you see it's whereabouts in relation to the town of Limavady. You can pan N,S,E, W on the map as well as zoom in/out.

Saw query in today's Irish News.
Do you know what religion the Douglas family were? The ones I know about were Presbyterian and there might be some local church records.

Hello,
Thanks for posting this I was able to extend my family tree to include Hugh and Nancy's fathers. I just wonder if you have found any more information on them as this is as far as I have got so far.
I am a direct descendant on my paternal grandmothers side and Hugh is my 3x great grandfather.
Yours,
Cassie
