Title: Buley (cheshire/lincs)
Post by: kazzam on Friday 21 September 07 17:47 BST (UK)
hello wonder if anyone has heard of any more families with this name BULEY
The only family with this name that i know of in the lincolnshire area is mine
The name was brought into the family by my grandfather whom i am led to believe was
born in the birkenhead workhouse and was later  sent to lincolnshire as an apprentice fisherman
this is where he eventually settled
i have heard that during the war he was visited by a woman with a strong scottish
accent claiming to be his sister but would not entertain her having been alone all those years
if anyone knows of another family with the same name i would be very interested
