Hello I am looking for any family members of Charlotte Maria whitehead (nee selby) she married a george whitehead. Charlotte maria died around 1941. Her parents were Charlotte sarah selby(nee hull) and her father was thomas selby. :)

well all I have about the whiteheads is that George whitehead, husband of charlotte maria selby was living in ridding's he was b in 1882. they got married in sheffield. so i believe they were from sheffield but not 100% sure. Now there are some living in derbyshire and also in nottingham.

Charby,my old Mum +her Mum were employed as General Domestics by a family Whitehead,Liverpool 1930,s.There is a website SOMEWHERE!Darned if I can recall tho'!!Not much help, but another string to your bow.

Charlotte maria selby b abt 1892 married George whitehead the 15th april, 1911, at united alfreton methodist church, george was b abt 1882.
children were.
QUEENIE WHITEHEAD b abt 1912, married a BORNE
MARGARET WHITEHEAD b abt 1913 married ERNEST WALLY and CECIL CLEGS
GWENDOLINE WHITEHEAD b abt 1916
gEORGE WHITEHAD b abt 1919 died 26 jan 1942 in singapour
VERA WHITEHEAD b abt 1921 married WILLIAM SMITH
HAYDN WHITEHEAD b abt 1931 hucknall notts

Where do your Whiteheads come from? Do you have any specific places/dates?

Whiteheads are generally distributed throughout England in Lancashire, Warwickshire and London and so far I have found no connection between the families in those areas. MY family are from Warwickshire (Coventry and North Warwickshire) and I have the line back to 1600's in Middleton, Warwickshire. Do get in touch please if yours are Warwickshire too.

Charby+Graham,'my'Whitedead's are in Liverpool,found an old lot in a place called Botley(?)mixed up with Binstead's,Mervyn's+Dennis familie's.Bramshott Manor mentioned also.
1700'S a bit far back, but you never know!!

Jusr noted your Whiteheads and my Gt Grandmother was Amy Ellen Whitehead born Northampton, her family came from London and before that they are all in Berwickshire, Scotland....
Where you will find another load.. around Duns and Cockburnspath.

Between 1848-64, when Griffith's Valuation took place in Ireland, there were families with the Whitehead surname in Counties Cork, Down, Dublin, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Offaly and Tipperary.

My maiden name is Whitehead. Mine come from London, Lambeth st Marylebone area. I think the top one I have may be from Lancashire. Have a lot of engineers in the family. Would love to know if other Whiteheads were engineers too Or if anyone has any London Whiteheads in their tree.
