Here's an extract from 1881 Census.  I can't decypher the surname in the middle.  Looks like Ei...

Looks like "Eite"?  compare the "t" in "Mother"...

There are a few Dorothy Eite on census, what area is 1881?

I haven't tried tracing her as she was an "aside", not a rellie.  I transcribed some of this page and just wanted to fill the gaps.

The area is Allestree, Derbyshire.  She was born Shottle, Derbyshire.

Thanks for the help.  Eite looks good.

It is given as Eite in 1851 and 1861 she was married to a John a Farmer.

Thanks for the extra info.  Haven't heard of a Colston Russett in Notts but there is a Colston Bassett so I guess that's where the farm was.
