Still trying to get any further back on Thomas Lindsay married to Jean Edwards in GlenIsla (1/4/1827). They had at least 4 children
Ann 7/5/1828
William 13/6/1830
Thomas 18/11/1832
Elizabeth 14/6/1835.
have tried searching the scotlandspeople.gov site for deaths of any Thomas Lindsays in Angus but with no luck. Thomas Lindsay junior ends up in Newcastle so I suppose its always possible he moved there with his parents as a child but that seems a long shot?

Hello AH
Is this your Lindsay family? I found this on the 1841 census. Your Jean goes under the name of Jane, this is not uncommon, I had a gggrandmother named Jean and went under the name of Jane.
