MArriage
there is in Oct/Nov/Dec 1909 marriage of Frederick Henry Creasy, Mutford ref 4a 2459
There is also in Oct/Nov/Dec 1909 marraige of Ruby Ida Disney, Mutford - indexed as 4a 2439, but if you look at actual image and blow it up, it is actually 2459
so although it does not come up on FreeBMD as them being on the same page ....
.... I reckon this is your couple!!!
(Getting cert will confirm)
-
Thank you Rick and Lizdb!
The next thing I would like to do is finding Emmas familyname.(Wife from Alfred A Creasy,Mum from Fred.Henry Creasy.
Is there a way to find this ?
regards Anna
-
The best way would be to get a birth cert for one of the children, as that will show mothers previous names.
Their births are in the index on FreeBMD as folows:
Annie Beatrice
Oct/NovDec 1885
Mutford ref 4a 895
Frederick Henry
Jan/Feb/Mar 1887
Mitford (sic)
ref 4b 920
Walter William
Oct/Nov/Dec 1888
Mutford 4a 895
Henry Alfred
Oct/Nov/Dec 1890
Mutford 4a 832
Certs can be ordered form www.gro.gov.uk
£7 each
I will also try andhave a look through FreeBMD (or you can look yourself, free to search) for a possible marriage. It may not be conclusive as we dont know where they married, I see from 1891 census first child was born in Middlesex, the parents come from Oxfordsgire andKent, and they finally settle ni Norfolk!
But I will have a look and report back anything that loooks good
-
With his middle initial as A, and the first child being bn in Middx, this marriage looks possible:
Oct/Nov/Dec 1883
Alfred Andrew Creasy
one of brides on same page - Emma Wilks
Islington ref 1b 491
-
I cant immediately see an Emma Wilks in 1881, bn Oxfordshire, of right age - so we may be barking up the wrong tree.
Getting one of those childrens birth certs will clarify - and we can then start hunting for the right Emma, Wilks or otherwise!
-
In themeantime here is Alfred in 1881 - already up in Suffolk where it seems his family came from
RG11 1901 96 5
1 Venlow Villas Kirkley Lowestoft

Elizabeth 46 wife bn Suffolk
Alfred 22 son carpenter bn Dartford Kent

Frederick 39 Carpenter bn Ellough Suffolk
Elizabeth 35 bn Ellough Suff
Alfred A 12 bn Dartford Kent
Annie 10 bn Dartford Kent
Walter W 4 bn Siffolk Willingham
Thomas 2 bn Suffolk Satterley?
-
1861 - this is when they had their liitle spell in Kent - looks like they tried branching out a bit from just the carpentry!
RG9 467 119 40
Beer Shop Heath Lane Dartford
Frederick 29 Carpenter and Beer Shop bn Ellough Suffolk
Elizabeth wife 26 bn Ufford Suffolk
Julia 3 bn Dartford Kent
Alfred 2 bn Dartford K
Ann 8mths bn Dartford K
John Thorpe 67 lodger
Francis Chaplin 39 lodger
Robert Case 32 lodger
Elizabeth Case 28 lodger
I guess little Julia must die as a child before next census
-
Thanks for all this information lizdb. The picture about this family is beginning to become more and more form.

Dear Sugarbaker,
I have a Mary Jane Bond, who married Samuel Hutchings in Brixham. They then moved to Lowestoft prior to the 1874.
They had children
Samuel Bond Hutchings born 1874 in Lowestoft
William Hutchings 1877 in Lowestoft
John Hutchings 1880, who was born in Brixhham
Ella Hutchings 1883 in Lowestoft
Samuel Hutchings must have died as we have Mary Jane marrying Charles Read in 1889 and having several more children.
Mary Jane Bond is my Great Aunt and I am interested to have any info on her and her family.

My dad married very late in his life to my mum who was considerably younger than him - they had 3 children - my older brother - me - my younger brother !!!! I would love to have any information there is on the rest of my dads brothers and sisters !!!!!!!

I realise that all dads siblings have now passed away - I'd appreciate any information on their deaths and any descendants from them - I remember some years ago that my dad said that one of his brothers - I thought it was Stanley - was buried in France in one of the war cemetery's !!!!

You can search FreeBMD https://www.freebmd.org.uk/ for any possible marriages and then do a search for births of any children
Here's an example using the link above
This looks to be William A Disney marriage entry
Sep 1926 Mutford 4a 2867
Disney William A spouse V M Grimmer
then using FreeBMD to search for any births
surname Disney
Spouse/Mother surname Grimmer
it shows there are twin boys born
Mar 1927 district Mutford and female born Dec 1934
I have not posted any of these names as they are probably still living (if you use the link above you can view the names) give it a go and see how you get on - if you get stuck let me know
