On the Immigrants Resources board I wrote a topic on the FamilySearch Wiki site, which is provides information about many different countries.

Although not every page has been "filled" - the project is still on-going - the general style can be seen on many pages already.

Different countries, different coverage, but definitely worth a look, and, because it is still growing, it is a site that is worth re-checking (once a month, perhaps ?) to see what has been added for your "favourite" countries.
