The following are tenants of the Fishmongers Company estate in the vicinity of Ballykelly who were granted weekly pensions. These I have summarized so the information is not exactly as it appears in the records.

I posted this in the spirit of helping others as some of you have helped me with some Kincaid tidbits. As the saying goes, you reap what you sow. Do not hesitate to use any of the information for your research and to help others.
The Fishmonger minute books are not an easy source to quickly get tidbits from as the Irish data is spread among other entries relating to all of their business in Ireland and England. However, it is indeed a treasure trove of genealogical tidbits. I will continue to pull pension tidbits, leases, etc. from them as I find them. I must stress that there is wonderful data to be gleaned from the visitation reports. There were a few in 1820 and visitations occurred about every three years or so after that. They are a real live history of the area and there are lots of tenant references in them.

This batch was given by representatives from the Company on a visitation to the Londonderry estates. The commentary following was quite moving. They noted that the above were part of a group as destitute as one could see anywhere with more needing aid.

Thanks for all of your extractions from the Fishmongers' Company records. Given the pending end of the LDS church microfilm lending program in August 2017, I have been considering ordering a few reels of the Fishmongers' records, but wouldn't know where to start among the 77(!) reels.
To your knowledge, are there any records from the 1600s with regard to the planter families that were brought into the Plantation of Ulster? In particular, I am interested in tracing the McCunn/McConn family back to Scotland, and have hit a dead end in County Londonderry in 1662.
Any recommendations on which Fishmongers reels to target (or avoid) for original leases from the 17th or 18th centuries would be appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately it has been 8 years since I went through some of the films so my familiarity of them is gone; that is outside of my notes. The only thing I can say is one has to trust the film descriptions given at https://familysearch.org/search/catalog/754514?availability=Family%20History%20Library. They generally deal with the period the description gives.
