Title: Birch Meadow N/C Baptist Chapel Broseley
Post by: AileenP on Tuesday 14 April 09 00:25 BST (UK)
I am looking for some information about Birch Meadow baptist chapel.

My family had a vault in the cemetery there (BULLOCK).

My G X 6 grandmother was buried there according to information in the 1910 the broseley.org.uk papers.  The chapel was turned into a cinema in the 1920's and is now a youth club.  What I would like to know is what happened to all the graves?  The last picture I saw there was tarmac covering the grounds.

My  relatives that I know of buried there are Samuel Bullock and his wife Mary Ann Bullock both born in Broseley but passed away in Walsall where Samuel was a mining agent.

Any information on Broseley Bullocks would be gratefully received.  My branch of the family eventually changed to Parry due to an illegitimate birth in 1873.

Thank you for letting me know about that.  I have had a look and the lady who wrote it is also trying to see if there is any connection between my Bullock branch and her own.

I think it's time I took a trip there but I didn't want to go and only see tarmac :P  It's typical my relatives being from the non-conformist baptists too which has made it quite hard to find baptism records etc.

Re Mullard

You haven't got Mullarts in Cressage in the C16th have you?

I'm still working on the Mullard's.  Its a bit confusing with them I go back to 1834 with Joseph Mullard born Deuxhill near Bridgnorth,  he marries a Mary Bishton  b 1834 who's paternal grandmother's  maiden name was Mullard.  She came from Cressage I can go back to 1765 there with an Edward Mullard.  :o

I came across a Richard Mullart in a will of 1588 and thought it might be of interest to you.

One to file away for the future!
