It is from a book by William Cutter, relating to the families of Massachusetts
Here is another entry from a different journal with Richard's first wife. (this first wife, Ann, is disputed in the link below on John Hallet)

Thank you for the links, these help fill in some details of what happened to the family after they left England.
The Curtis family lived in Nazing Essex England and son Thomas married in Kent before emigrating to Massachusetts.
Another son, William Curtis, born 1592, married Sarah Elliot August 6 1618 and died March 27 1673 in Roxbury Suffolk Massachusetts.
John Curtis, born 1590, died 1639 in Roxbury Suffolk Mass.
Thomas Curtis born Jan 21 1594 died Nov 13 1681 in Hatfield Hampshire Mass.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
William Curtis, born 1545 in Nazing Essex, married Agnes (unknown) in 1493.
One of their children, John Curtis born Sept 15 1577 died 1639 in Wethersfield Hartford CT. He married Elizabeth Hutchinson, marriage April 19 1610. Elizabeth died 1658 in Stratford Fairfield CT.
Can anyone confirm?

This link is to digital books provided by BYU.

If you go scroll down to the "advanced search", put John Curtis in the "exact phrase", and Wethersfield in one of the other 2 selections. You might be interested in the 2nd book that pops up; "A Genealogy of the Curtiss Family Being a Record of the Descendants of the Widow Elizabeth Curtiss, Who Settled in Stratford, Conn. 1639-40"; by Frederic Haines Curtiss, 1903.
