Hi All,
Is this a mistake on the 1881 cens or can the same person be at two addresses in 1881? Because SARAH ALICE TAYLOR who is 2 years old, at 88 Dale street with her parents Thomas & Hannah Taylor and with sister's Harriet age 4 & Rachel Taylor age 1 all born Milnrow.
Now there is a SARAH ALICE TAYLOR who is 2 years old with a Rachel Todd & William Todd address of Fieldhouse cottage. Now this Sarah Alice Taylor is a niece to Rachel & William Todd this is correct because Rachel was a Taylor and a sister to Hannah and yes Hannah did marry a Taylor.
the ref Number are 1341985 Rg 11 4116/114 & 1341981 Rg 11 4100/30.
What do you think?
Many Thanks Dan Tay.

Hi Dan,
I am sure they will be many more replies. The answer is it is far more common than you would think! I have come across it a few times in my own family research.

Hi,
:)
In 1911 my great uncle, age 2, appears twice. With his parents at one address and again at the home his maternal grandparents.
