I am trying to find the marriage of Sylvia Lily YEMM to a groom with the surname PEARSON between 1959 and 1961. I have searched for the marriage in the years 1949 to 1959 on the NSW bmd website without success
(I know she was still with her first husband in 1949)
Sylvia Lily PEARSON appears in the NSW death indexes in 1961 (registered Marrickville) and her parent's names match the person I am looking for. Sylvia's maiden surname was WHITE.

Thanks very much for your reply and for the link to the transcription agents. I hadn't realised that service was available in Australia so thanks for saving me some money too! I have now ordered a transcription of the death certificate

Hi, I spotted your post about Sylvia Lily YEMM. I am trying to find information about the children of George William White, who was a descendant of my great great grandfather. Is this the same lady you are researching? Do you have more details? Did she marry Howard Thomas yemm, born in Leicestershire, England in 1891 and who served several prison sentences in WA during the 1920s? The marraige record said Edward Thomas Yenm, so I wasn't sure if it was the same lady.

Thank you so much for all the extra information on Howard, Sylvia and Stanley - it is really helpful and very much
appreciated. One thing I have never been able to find is a marriage for Stanley Pearson to Sylvia Yemm (nee White)
but if his earlier marriage to Frances Marrickville is correct then she was still living at the time.

Her name was Frances H Delaney and the marriage was registered at Marrickville, Sydney. I’ve edited the previous post for clarity.
Maybe Stanley and Frances didn’t get divorced.

Thanks very much Jamjar. Yes, it looks as if you are right and Stanley and Frances didn't divorce although Sylvia's
death certificate is in the name of PEARSON and shows a second marriage to Stanley c1957 in Sydney NSW
(Sylvia's age is given as 41 at the time of marriage). Stanley Pearson was the informant.

Thank you so much for posting the details from the three death notices which have confirmed the family connections. The death notice
for Stanley Pearson is especially interesting and also rather sad. Although Frances Hazel Pearson didn't die until 1992, Stanley is
described as the 'formerly loved husband of Hazel'.
