Yes I have an Elizabeth Saxby baptised in Brenchley 10 Oct 1714 daughter of William Saxby & Ann Crosly.
Do you have the Saxby line as it dates way back to 1500's?

I have quite a lot of interests in Brenchley particularly the Joy family from the early 1600s to late 1800s.
I believe there is a connection between the Saxby family and the Whibley family although probably not the Elizabeth Whibley that married into my Joy family.

I can imagine our ancestors all knew each other in this little village. Have you come across the names Burgess and Paddock in Brenchley?

No haven't seen those names.
My Joys were all bricklayers and builders. One I believe was the Parish Constable - still to be confirmed! So quite likely they all knew each other.

Hi, My William Clifton was born 1750 died 1828 i think. and Elizabeth Saxby was born about 1753 and dies 1827. Thank you.

I have just found I'm descended from Saxbys in Brenchley. Earliest I have is John Saxby (b 1729) son of William. I believe John married Elizabeth Muddle and I'm descended from their son Stephen (b1758)

I would be interested in the Whibley line as I have a Whibley great great grandfather who moved to Ryarsh. His birthplace is given as Brenchley but so far I have no conclusive evidence of his parents.
