Aaron Jenkins, late of Aberdare, and his wife Rachel and son James left on the Mimosa arriving at what is now Puerto Madryn in Patagonia on 28 June 1856.
I am trying to trace any descendents of his brothers and sisters who may have stayed in Wales.
the most complete list of family members is from the 1851 Census of Pentyrch Parish (Gwaelod y Garth). Piece: 2456 Folio: 237 Schedule: 100
Address: near Colliers Arms - very handy
All sunames Jenkins and all except the Head (he was born Bonvilston) born St Fagans
John Hd M 50 Ag Lab
Rachel Wi M 46
Miles So U 24 Iron Miner
Miriam Da U 22 Dressmaker
Aaron So U 20 Iron Miner - he went to Patagonia
Richard So U 14 Iron Miner
John So U 12 Iron Miner
Llewelyn So U 10 Iron Miner - he may have emigrated to Ohio, USA
Rachel Da U 7 Scholar
the 1861 Census of Troedyrhiw also shows a grandson John Davies age 2. Possible son of Miriam or Rachel?
Any information on descendents living or dead greatly appreciated.
Cheers Dave

Dave this is a very old message. I presume you have this info. Actually just realised it probably relates to why you are asking for descendants. i found it interesting anyway. ..

Thank you emilyada,
I originally posted the request on behalf of a descendent of Aaron Jenkins who lives in Patagonia. I must confess that I've since forgotten who that was but I'll check my records and forward the link if possible.
Cheers Dave
