I'm new to the site so please be patient.
I'm looking for family ancestors from I believe Wales. The name is Benjamin Watkins born about 1844. Spouse unknown. Had at least 1 son, James Watkins, in 1844 after coming to USA. Marriage date unknown or where married. Spouse name may have been Margaret and/or surname of Kohler.
James Watkins had about 6 children. They were; David J. b:31/10/1869, James b:1872, John b:1873, William b:1875, Harris Henry b:1877, Robert T. b:1878. All born in USA.
My ancestor is David J. Watkins and spouse Carrie Janet Hopkins.
Any help will be appreciated. :D

According to the 1880 US census James is married to a Maria who was born in Pennsylvania but both her parents came from Wales.

I had the name Maria but was not able to connect it backwards. I have found reference to it as well as Margaret and Kohler last name.
Hopefully we can find more. I'd like birthdates for him & spouse and parents for both.

According to 1880 James was born in England, can't make out where his parents were supposed to be from.
I found in 1851 a James of the right age with parents Benjamin and Catherine in Herefordshire. Ben a carpenter.

Thank you for your rely. I have found and looked at the same items but when you try to follow them to connect them I can't get them together. I can't get immigration or passager list to match everything.
If any of you find something else, please let me know. I want to get this wall down and find the correct connections.
