Should anyone be interested I have a large collection of photographs (300 plus) taken in the Chathams during the 1930's - 1940's. Most have names attached.
Happy to search and provide a copy of any photograph for anyone.

Hi Bones, all is not lost. I'm not very familiar with how this site works but I think there is a way you can make contact with me by email. I can certainly help you with Kawhe and Hough photos, and you may not be aware of the book "Taranaki to Wharekauri and back". See if you can make a direct contact with me.

Hi Seek whanau,
If you are still looking for photos I have one of Wiremu (William) Dix.
-
Hi Tiff34,
I have many Houghs on my tree but not Ada. More info and maybe I could locate something for you.
-
Hi Tiff and others
I am currently out of New Zealand and not home until the end of May.
In the interim you may consider the Alexander Turnbull Library for the W B Burt Collection where the photographs came from or even contact the Chathams Island Museum which can be found on the website for the Chatham Island District Council ... Google !!
I have also done searches for "For early Chatham Islands photographs" on Google that has meet with some success. The Canterbury Museum and Papers Past and other similar agencies have provided useful results.
Sorry I cannot help further at this time.
