Calling all super sleuths ;D ;D
James FATT had three sons, James ( died WW1), Stephen and Sydney all born in the Hokianga, Northland NZ
This is what I have found:
James FATT Snr death certificates states, no parents, no county of birth or how long in NZ, no wives names ??? or age of children.
James was a gum digger in 1893 / 1896 in RAKAWHAI, Bay of Island and in 1911 Labourer, OAKURA , Taranaki died 1939 buried Kelvin Grove Cemetery.
Sydney FATT marriage certificate states no mother's name ???
not bought his d.c yet. (
On BDM no birth's registered for these three FATT or any FATT / FAT
Have got birth dates from WW 1 files ( thanks Spades) also on Cenotaph data base ( nok).
So the question is who is the mother of James FATT'S children. I am guessing she was a Maori Lass .
Have looked on all my Disc ,
Okay over to you super sleuths.
Regards
Kiwi-terrier :)

Hi, you probably already have this but Sydney has a probate filed 22 Aug 1987, BBAE 1570 2396/79, 2396/79. I got this from NZGS disc but check archway for any more details. Not much on this family on disc that you dont already have, The Stephen mentioned by Althea is listed also.

Yes to everything
Janette
Waiting for a lady at GenesReunited to come back with the mother's details.
The FATT in Clevedon comes from Stephen's side.
Yes have death notice & death certificate for James Snr.
Cousin asking his cousin to look at Ancestry, if no answer will get back to Althea. As I do not James Snr parents name
Awaiting NZSG to send FATT researcher name & address.
My guess the Ancestry, GenesReunited & NZSG maybe the same person.
Many thanks every one

Hi all,
Just wanting to get in touch with Steven Burt with regards to Ina Tipene’s unveiling and family history. We are trying to finalise our Whakapapa and get information on Ina’s iwi, hapu, etc.
Would like to go and pay our respects as well, are you able to advise what cemetery/Urupa she is buried at, as we are unable to locate a Waitangi cemetery.
-
Ina was my Great Great grandmother. I am studying Te Reo this year and trying to put my Whakapapa and Pepeha together.
-
Ina (isabella) was married to James Fatt and their son Stephen Fatt is my grandmothers father.
