Post by: islayhawk on Wednesday 07 September 11 10:57 BST (UK)
Hi I am new to the forum. I am researching my family history. The family name is 'HART'. The first names I have are Patrick Hart & Sarah Hart ms Clark. Married around 1834. On the Irish Family history site the areas listed for them is as follows:-
Patrick Hart came from Creevery
Sarah hart , wife townland/street- spring hill
address1 randalstown

address2 antrim

I cannot make sense of this entry. Can anyone help. Also I would like to know where I could find out where they are buried

Hello and welcome to RootsChat, I see the marriage record for Patrick Hart = Sarah Clark 1834, Antrim (RC), not sure what you don't understand, the addresses will be the addresses given by the couple at the time of their marriage,

Creevery is a rural townland in the Parish of Antrim, County Antrim

Randalstown was a townland within the Parish of Drummaul, County Antrim not sure why the Parishes of Cranfield and Duneane are also mentioned, is this what you don't understand?

If you know approx. when they died you may be able to find a death or burial record, whether or not the grave will be marked is less likely in the 19C

Regards

Joe

Thanks for prompt reply. My GGrandfather was born in Ireland in 1844 so GGGrandfather  must have died between 1834 and 1844

Is there a reason you think his father died by the time he was born?

That's okay. Have you looked for him in online civil registration index yet? covers start of death registration (1864) until 1921 for Northern Ireland counties. If he diedbfore 1864 there will be no death certificate.
