Sorry to ask for help again but this forum has been great at solving some of my family tree mysteries.
Anyway I am searching in vain for the death certificate of my grandfather Ali Mohamed. He married Mary Hillock in 1943 in Dunfermline. Ali and Mary gave birth to my mother Alma in 1945. I ordered the marriage extract from SP. It listed his age at the time of the marriage as 39. That means he was born in 1904 I guess. My mother used to visit his grave I think (or at least that is what she told me) at Cowdenbeath cemetery. I have recently tried to find his grave but had no success. I tried searching SP for a death for Ali Mohamed born in 1904. The only result I got was for one in Glasgow in 1979. I finally got the cert today only to see that it was a totally different Ali Mohamed as he has different parents listed to the ones on the marriage cert. My mother was born with the surname "Mohammed" so I did try alternative spellings but still no joy. Are there any deaths which for some reason would not be indexed on SP?
I should add that I have no idea when he died. I was born in 1981 and cannot remember him so I would assume before then. The people who would know are my mother and grandmother and they are sadly deceased.

Actually too young to be my grandfather but it is Uncle Ronnie. I do remember him.

Not many of an age to be married in 1943 if he died in Fife
The age is wrong for this one but it may have been transcribed wrongly

Yeah I did notice that one before. I could perhaps take a chance on it. The name seems unfamiliar too.

Mary Mohamed, nee Hillock, d 2007, Fife.
Allan Mohamed, d 1997, Fife, I do not know if this is the same family.

Mary was my grandmother. She did die in 2007.
I am pretty sure my grandfather did not die in 1997. I would remember it for sure.
The first one might be worth looking at though.

I just did a search for Mohamed marriages in the hope of finding a brother or sister of Ali. I found 11 matches in the 20s and 30s of Mohamed's marrying Scottish women. I really thought my anglo/indian grandparents were rare. Seems inter racial marriage was more common than I thought!

Scotlands People sometimes does play up. It was definelty Glasgow City on a 1 +/- for a birth of 1904 yesterday. It was strange that I could not narrow it down to a district, further than Glasgow City, but today, it rejects Glasgow City, and accepts Perthshire, district Dunbarney, and a birth of 1902. At least you have found it.

Looking for Robert that was searching for info on Ali Mohammed married to Mary Hillock from Fife. Their children's name's were Ronnie,Stephen(Jan),Christine,Alma and Vera.
Alma had a son called Robert in 1981.
Alma was my aunt as Stephen was married to my mum in 1964,my sister went to visit nana(mary) who was a resident in Leslie House before she died.
Mary(nana) lived at 72 sinclair drive cowdenbeath before she became a resident at LESLIE hOUSE.
Ali is buried at Beath Cemetery,my sister has all the info on that and has been to the grave,which doesn't have a headstone just a plot number and she has a map.
If you would like to get back to me,then i can give you the info to contact my sister.
