Esther Davies (1859-1951) had an illegitimate child while living at Treaskell Llanfihangel
Abercowin Carms in 1888. She was a farm servant. I would like to find out more about the
place where she worked. Does anyone know if Treaskill was the name of a farm or village?

This is a link to "Historical Directories" - which can be searched on line. You will find Worrall's by searching for "treaskell".

My GGrandmother Esther Davies Born 1859 was living in 1891 on the farm Treakell Fach Llanfihangell during or just after the birth of her illegitimate daughter Mary in 1888. The farm was owned by Annie Davies an 84 year old widow.
It was always thought that Mary's father was an intellgent person and may have been 'gentry'. Does any know of a big house in the area where Esther may have worked. She went on the have another child in 1892 who may or may not have had the same father.
