I have been unable to find the parents of Robert Strachan, born c 1765 possibly in the Dunning area of Perthshire. I have his grandparents, Robert Strachan and Margaret Rutherford, married in Dunning and buried in the churchyard there. Their gravestone was refurbished by grandson Robert in 1798. He at that time was in Kinrossshire, married to Ann Hoggan.
Anyone out there who can help?
