Hi. Can someoen help me please? Is there any way I can search N/Z records please / census.
I am hoping to trace my husbands relatives. We know that Ivan Henry Penrose born 10- 09 -1889in Carharrack Cornwall emigrated to N/Z in the early 1900's.
We think his sister also emigrated around the same time.
She was Elsie Louise born 12 08 1896 , Carharrack cornwall.
They went to live in Ashburton.

Hi again Llandinam
Should have added when posting above link earlier, that if you scroll through the cemetery records for ARGYLE / PENROSE, then you may be able to make connections to other family members. [Often they have adjacent plots ... or names of purchasers will be given ... etc. ]

Hi, Althea, Janette and Lucy, Thank you very much for all your help. Will be interesting to look and see if there are some relatives still in Ashburton. Brought back some wonderful memories for me, as many years ago I lived briefly in Ch.Ch. and had a boyfriend in Ashburton.

Hi, we are sitting here in Picton, New Zealand with Winifred Louise Chapman (nee Penrose), and were searching information about her father Ivan Henry Penrose when we saw this forum.
Winnie is 94 years old and still in good health, living in Ashburton. Winnie thinks Elsie moved to NZ some years after Ivan about 1926.
Ivan and Florence had 8 children, Winifred Louise, Sadie Florence, Elma Ellis, Shona Elaine Audrey, Shirley Elaine, Ivan Maurice, Daphne Audrey, June Aroha.
