Title: BLANC/BLANCE family of GLUSS, Shetland Isles

Parents were: Peter Blanc and Marion Sandison.  Most of their children remained in Gluss, North Mavine, Shetland Isles.  At least two sons migrated to Australia circa 1850 never to return to Shetland. Interested in any information on Gluss and the family.

Thankyou very much Hibe for the web site - it was interesting.  I live in Australia so know very little of what life is like on Shetland Isles.  I just know that this family was very prominent in the town of Gluss mid 1800's and lived in the Haa House.

Peter Blance, b. 1795 - Toft, Delting, SHI to Marion Sanderson b.1795 Firthsness, Delting.

Eight children, Andrew and Magus both died in AUS.

Three of the children died in Gluss, Northmavine.
