Title: Cathays Cemetery, Cardiff
Post by: hunkyhywel on Wednesday 22 May 13 21:25 BST (UK)
I live very near the Cathays Cemetery in Cardiff. I am willing to look-up graves therein if given appropriate information.  :)

Sure!
Do you have a grave number?
The names and dates would obviously be helpful too! :-)

I was able to find the graves myself. Sadly there were no markings after all the years.

Thanks for offering to everyone to search the cemeteries. :)

Hywel, Is this still on offer? I have recently found out that a large number of my extended family are buried there. It would be great to have photos if any headstones remain.

I don't think it's so much if headstones remain, more that many graves never had them in the first place, esp the older ones. I have many ancestors from both sides of the family buried there but only 1 headstone (earliest burial in 1935).

Very sorry all, I moved out of Cardiff recently so am no longer there to check the cemetery! :-(
However, if you find the website, they can usually give you a grave number for free and it's relatively easy to find them with that number
