Is there a gravestone for Edwin John and Gladys May Davies? If so can you send me a picture please?
-
Sorry - not been on here for a while - still getting the hang of it!

The Crewe and Nantwich Groups of the FHS of Cheshire are transcribing and mapping all of the Whitehouse Lane Cemetery. The final draft is in preparation by me. Will be finished later in the year with a bit of luck.

Hi Pergolaman
Great news!..mapping will make taking photos for members requests so much easier!...Keep me posted!

Hi Sarah,
I have photos of almost all of the small cremation plots already. It took a long while to work out the numbering schemes used in Whitehouse Lane they jump all over the place. As a matter of interest, when I was talking to someone in the graveyard recently, they said that one section (where there are very few headstones) that one side was for C of E and the other for anyone else.
-
Interesting!...I have always wondered about the "gap" with very few stones in....
My interest in Nantwich cemeteries started not with family ties, I'm an adopted "dabber"! But with a fascination with the Barony Road All Saints Cemetery & its various states over the pat few years...

Hi Sarah
I'd appreciate copies of the photos of;
- Lucy Daniels
- Ann Daniels 1914
- Thomas Daniels 1927
- Thomas William Daniels 1932 & Irene Lilian Murray
Thomas was my Great, great, granddad. I have several photos of his shops in Nantwich but nothing about when he died. I'm still trying to find out why he moved from Kent at such an early age.
Thanks
Richard

Hi Sarah
Thanks for the photo. I can read the bottom half but would appreciate your offer of a better photo to try and make out the top half.
Considering Thomas Daniels was supposed to have been a successful businessman in Nantwich, I have been a little disappointed with the gravestone.
Have you come across any other Daniels in the Cemetery?
Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard
Been back to the cemetery this morning....no sunshine but hopefully a slightly clearer photo!....will have a look through my previous photos & check for anymore Daniels...is there anyone/year in particular?....may help in picking a particular area of Whitehouse Lane Cemetery or Barony Road Cemetery if you have any early dates.....

I would love to have any/all of the Bowker/Birchall/Ibbs pictures. I had these many years ago but they were lost in a move. I am planning a return visit to Nantwich in the future. (I live in London)
I am also trying to find the burial site of William Bowker (1804 - 1868) I know he was buried in Nantwich in 1868 but where?
Many thanks in advance! :)

According to the Bishop Transcripts William, aged 63, of Hospital St.was buried 13th October presumably in the Church of St. Mary. A Henry Bowker, infant, also of Hospital St. was buried 11th Oct.
