Title: Seekimg Ailsa's Parents

Hi there guys,
I am trying to find the parents of Ailsa Janet Millar Robertson who was born on 3rd July 1910
Delmas, Transvaal. She married Alfred Thomas Bettington on 4th October 1936, Pretoria, died 5th August 1969, Pretoria, the only other thing that I know she had a sister Kathy.
Any help please

The records of the former Transvaal Province situated in the Pretoria archive have this record which should contain her death notice and on it the parents are normally listed.

Hello braw,
I do have that document but unfortunately it does not list
Ailsa's parents, it just lists them as deceased

I would like to suggest that you contact your local South African Consulate or Embassy and apply for a copy of the birth certificate. An unabridged birth certificate contains the names of both the parents.

Hullo, Ailsa's daughter, Maureen de Haan is a friend of mine. She often speaks of her Mother, Ailsa and her aunt, Kathy. Maureen has two brothers: Clive Bettington, living in London and Edward Bettington living in Australia. I can get more information if you would like it and can also give you email addresses. I am sure Ailsa's daughter knows who her grandparents were.
