Think had a sister called Elva Ashmore b. 1906/07 d. 1931
Had a daughter Olive Ashmore b.1908 d.1973 married in 1929 to a George Plant b.1905 d. 1958 all in Rochdale

On the dates it looks as though Elva was his daughter, not sister. Her birth was registered Dec qtr 1906 Rochdale; death Dec qtr 1931 Rochdale aged 24.
