Title: Market Overton, Rutland
Post by: Gibby1968 on Sunday 18 May 14 14:28 BST (UK)
John Boulton married Mary Barfield in Market Overton, Rutland on 11 October 1803.

They had six children between c1804 and c1812 who were all born/christened in the above place.

I am trying to find out when John and Mary were born and who the parents were so I can hopefully attach this family to my Boulton ancestors.

At the moment they are one of the many loose ends I am still trying to sort out.

Any ideas please?

Thanks.

Hi

This looks like the parents burial records, so for anyone searching,  their ages at death give a birth year for both c1777

John BOULTON buried 24 Sept. 1834 aged 57 years, (former parish clerk)

Mary BOULTON buried 21 May 1818 aged 41 years.

I'm not having any luck with John Boulton though.  Have tried Rutland and Leicestershire, but the nearest I can get is

What names did John and Mary give their children?  Does that yield any clues as to John's parents' names, perhaps?

Edited : Sorry.  Posted the same link twice.

I found their marriage on ancestry.

The children were Joseph, Ann Jane, John, Francis, William and Henry.

All these names and variations of appear in my family tree.

Hi

They were very young weren't they  :(

There is another burial in Market Overton, coulld be Johns mother, or at a stretch a sibling.

SUSANNA Boulton buried 30 Dec. 1830 aged 82

I've edited my last post, because I'd posted the same link twice, but I would swear that I found another vaguely possible John Boulton.  However, can I find it again?  No, I can't.  Grrr!

PS : Will try to come back later and have another go.

There is a marriage 10 miles away from Market Overton in Skillington, Lincolnshire

Francis BOULTON (aged 28) married Susanna Campey (aged 30) in 1771, info from marriage licence says Susanna was a widow.
