Hi ya I have a lot on James and Bridget. it's further back in the past I would like to go. All I really know is that James fathers name was also James and then I came to a dead end. I have used a lot of the genealogy sites but can't find anything. any ideas on what I can do next ? :( :(

There is one with a better year 1847 but no name or gender and same parents names so the first Bridget would have to have died. Without the name it's not much use.

The Parents marriage is also there if they are the correct couple

I don't see any Carrig's in the Tithe Applotment Books in Doon (1820s 30s) but a farm would need to be over 3 Irish acres so they could be there but there is also none in Griffiths Valuation. I can only find one in the whole of Kerry and yet there is quite a few in the church records. Makes you wonder what they all did for a living!
As James' baptisim can't be found in the Church records living in Doon and we don't have a mother's name to look in other Townlands I don't see how he can be found.

Your stuck at the same point in time as most of us are researching in Ireland. The records just don't exist.

Hi John

I am working on Lavery family tree.
Do you have any further info on John Carrig or Bridget Lavery and their children
Do you have any in for on Bridget Lavery's siblings one of whom is my great grandfather John Lavery b 1843 d 1925.

Any help appreciated and I can share my research

Hi John,

Are you still researching this? I'm researching a Mathew Lavery from Tarbert, who was a baker. I believe his father was George so that would likely make Bridget and Mathew siblings. I am DNA related to a number of people with James Carrig-Bridget Lavery in their family tree on Ancestry.

Have you found any more information?

Regards,
Dennis
