I am having difficulty finding for definite the parents of Emma Doody/Dudy, I know she married Jonathan Rushton Oliver and in the 1841 census they are living in Pensnett Staffordshire with their children and a Robert Doody 20 coal miner. I believe Robert is her brother he was baptised 9 November 1817 Wellington All Saints parents Edward and Maria Doody. I have Robert's marriage certificate his father is Edward Doody deceased.
But I can't find Emma's baptism about 1811 Wellington Shropshire.

This could be their marriage:

The find a grave site for Emma lists her parents as William & Hannah Doody.

What date of death do you have Milliepede?
There is an online tree with 14 Aug 1892, Pensnett, Staffs. parents Edward Doddy and Mariah Corbett, as my marriage link.

I see that Robert is not living with them but in a separate household with a Thomas Parker and James Rigby. Also, the Olivers have a daughter Hannah. Tricky!

How accurate is Find a Grave?
I can find nothing on a William and Hannah around 1811 in the area - earliest is a couple with those names having children in the 1830s, which is a bit late.

Hello,
Thank you for your replies, I have seen the trees on ancestry with William and Hannah as her parents, also the marriage for Edward and Maria. That was why I was hoping to find her baptism to confirm her parents. I was hoping the the Robert in 1841 census with Emma and Jonathan tied her to Robert and his baptism with parents Edward and Maria.

I AM a senior who resides in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have been trying to make a connection between the Doody families and my LEESE line.. The 1871 Census stated Emma Leese (widow) was lodging with her son William at the home of James & Sarah Leese (her parents).
On June 27, 1934 she married ELIJAH DOODY in Dawly Magna, Shropshire. Children are: Margaret,
Enoch (1840) Sarah, Mary Ann (1835). Ann, William (1849)
I believe there are Doddicotts' (sp!) involved. I am at a total loss at where the starting point would be for me. CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE?
Can I feel free to give you my e-mail address?
Regards,
Doris Baudoux

This may be Elijah's baptism, it fits with the 1841 census details.
