Hello
I am looking for information about Australians who volunteered in the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). I believe my grandfather was a gun-runner during this time. I would like to know more about this, but records appear to be scarce. I have located a book written on the subject by Inglis, but don't have access to it and I am not sure what it contains anyway. I am wondering if anyone here has any information that they might be able to share about this? Many thanks in advance.

I don't have a clue where you stay in Australia but it seems likely that you could borrow this relatively recent book through the inter-libary loans arrangements. An example is given here:

Hello!
I'm a Spanish researcher studying Australians in the Spanish Civil War. I have lots of bibliography and original documents, as well as a list with more than 100 Aussies (most records only gather 65). I'm extremely interested to know more about your grandfather, since I may have information about him. Please please contact me at cassowaryprods@gmail.com
