i am interested in john harvey's parents,he was born in wick in1818 or close. emigrated in1834 and founded the city of salisbury in south australia.........thos

Born : 22/07/1821 @ Caithness
Died : 22/06/1899 @ Australia

Married : 29/07/1843 @ Adelaide, an Ann Pitman

Born : 09/06/1826 @ Trowbridge
Died : 14/08/1917

Child : Allen Harvey, born 21/04/1850 @ Salisbury

Wick is near Downton 7 miles from Salisbury wiltshire

to  nicky c    thank you for effort,but our j harvey came from wick in caithness,small world though,as he married a lady from salibury,wiltshire,and named the city he founded here in australia the same

to ysabeau,many thanks for the info,as a famous south australian,much obout his life is known,the mystery about this man(my s/inlaw's, gg granf)is his father!!..not on birth cert' we understand he may have been a native of st helena!!(better than a good book) keep,smiling
