Title: Non-conformist look up plse - Quakers

I am after some information on a family who were Quakers living in Leicester

RG6
John Burgess  was christened on 3 Apr 1724
Hannah Burgess  was christened on 28 Feb 1725   
Matthew Burgess  was christened on 6 Dec 1730
Robert Burgess  was christened on 16 May 1734
Joseph Burgess  was christened on 14 Nov 1735
Catherine Burgess  was christened  Leics. (no date)

Any additional information on these christenings would be great.

I am also looking for the marriage of their parents who were John Burgess & Hannah Hopinson

 I have found this on Ancestry Select Births and Christening but not sure it's relevant to what your looking for?

Katherine Burgess  birth date 17 May 1730 parents John and Hannah

Added  Forgot to say it's Leicester

No sorry that's all it says.

Have you tried the BMD registers. Katherine is listed on there but with a birth date of 1739.

 Don't think the 1730 birth is correct
 I think this is the correct one on Family Search,

The 1730 birth on Ancestry is from FHL Film Number 811751

Putting that number into the LDS library catalogue gives

There are some on A* all saying son of John Burgess and Hannah
Noted as Grooby Lodge if you click into the birth for John 1728 as it lists 4 children and Grooby there

I've looked on the noncon disc but it gives even less information -- however some names are duplicated so I wonder if this is an error or if they represent babies who died.

There are no parents names given on the disc for any of these, and the place is simply given as Leicester. All are quaker.

When I was searching on Ancestry yesterday Robert born 1734 was entered as Robert 2 son of John and Hannah.
I assumed  that the first Robert son of John and Hannah b 1733 had died and that the next child born had been given the same name. ???

One of the John's died in 1727
I found two Matthew's both born 1730, one of them has father James and there is a death for a Matthew with parents John /Hannah in 1742
Also found a death for Hannah Burgess in 1742 but don't know if it's mother or daughter.
All from BMD register RG6 1567

Not sure if you have this?  I have John, Hannah, Matthew, Robert and Joseph all bpt St Leonards Quaker NC Leics.  Haven't been able to find the bpt of Catherine.

I don't wish to appear a pedant but Quakers do not practice baptism - the dates will be birth dates
